My poor little Beauty Box 5 has been sitting on the counter for almost a week – how could I forget?
May’s theme is “S.O.S.” – Super Outstanding Skin! Inside this month’s box; Bio Swiss Stainless Steel Mini Tweezer (perfect to add to my purse emergency kit – never know when you might have a brow emergency at work); Ahava 3 Sample Pack (fancy skin stuff); Styli-Style Blush/Highlighter Stick in “Bittersweet” (kinda orangey, but hey – it isn’t bronzer); Dermalogica AgeSmart Multivitamin Hand and Nail Treatment; and Coastal Scents Classic/Synthetic Brush (it appears to be an eyeliner brush – yasss).
OK, this is a better box than the last few – they’ve got me for a few more months…

Another Beauty Solutions box so soon? We just had one in March!
I don’t even remember what made me choose this curated box – it was probably because I hadn’t heard of any of the products in it? The box contains: Cotz Flawless Complexion SPF 50; JUARA Candlenut Body Creme (I had to Google Candlenut); Marcelle Hydra-C 24H Energizing Hydrating Gel (Mmmmmm…I love the new gel trend); Number 4 Blow Dry Lotion; and W3LL PEOPLE The Expressionist Mascara in “Black”. This is a kind of skin-centric box, but I this is the time of year my skin needs a lot of help – it alternates between greasy breakouts and dry scales. Ugh.

I got my first BILOVE 10% off order yesterday – I was so happy to get the Too Faced “Natural Matte” Palette in my hot little hands. I tried to get it at Ulta a few weeks ago, with my 20% off coupon, but the store had just done a rest and only had it online. I looked it up online and it was excluded from the coupon. DISAPPOINTMENT. At least I got it for 10% off…
I used it this morning and it was absolutely beautiful. I think “Sexpresso” is my second favorite eye shadow name ever. (“Sugar Walls” from Too Faced’s “Boudoir” Palette is #1.)
For samples, I picked Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo, Guerlain Abeille Royale Face Treatment Oil and belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb (I have no idea what an aqua bomb is). I also got an envelope full of postcard scent samples.

March Beauty Box 5 – Hustle
Finally! My box was shipped on the 10th, but I didn’t receive it until the 27th. Really, USPS? It took 17 days to get my box from Austin to Houston?
Kind of ironic that March’s theme is “Hustle”, isn’t it? Inside my box: Eslor Introductory Collection – Second Edition with Soothing Refiner and Cleanser, Botanical Peeling Gel, Chlorophyll Lifting Mask & Firming Collagen Day Cream; Elite Therapeutics Rosemary Eucalyptus Body Cream, Scandalous by Nanacoco Thickening Mascara (the flexible silicon ball brush scares me – I’ll probably stab myself in the eye); Styli-Style Line & Seal Twist Mechanical Eye Liner in “Brown Glitter” and Laugh Out Loud by Nancoco Lip Gloss in “The Lift”. Just the Samples, Ma’am
Last week, Sephora was offering 5 face samples with every order, so I went ahead and ordered a gift I had been planning anyway. The 5 samples I picked were : tarte Maracuja Oil (is Maracuja the next Argan?), Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer in “9 neutral”, philosophy purity made simple 3-in-1 cleanser for face and eyes, Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in “OPAL” and Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation in “Light 48” (I’ve been wanting to try this one for a while). I also got a free mini Make Up For Ever Lipstick in “Rouge Artist Natural” – it’s so tiny and cute!
Oh, and I signed up for Sephora Flash, too! For $10, I’ll get free 2 day shipping from Sephora for a year…this is very, very dangerous, I can already tell.

The bag is a bright Hawaiian-like floral print, full of fun stuff like NYX Butter Lipstick in “Hunk”; pūr~lisse beauty pūr~delicate gentle soymilk cleanser & makeup remover (I’m just glad it’s not another moisturizer); Boo-Boo Cover-Up in “Medium”; Dr. Brandt Skincare pores no more anti-aging mattifying lotion (I have high hopes for this one!); and VINTAGE by Jessica Liebeskind Illuminating Face Highlighter in “Crystal Pink” (is “illuminating highlighter” the new “primer”?)
I usually don’t like skin heavy bags, but I am getting to like them more and more.
