February 2021 Ipsy Bag – Send Love
I’d received the February bag weeks ago, but I had to thaw out a bit before I was able to try products – Texas was frozen solid!
February’s ipsy bag was full of brands that were new to me. I love getting to try out new brands.
My product choice this month was Innisfree Pore Clearing Clay Mask with Volcanic Clusters. It was a nice clay mask, but it did have an odd, vinegar-y smell. I did not find the volcanic clusters though.
Also in this month’s bag: Banila Co Clean It Zero Pore Clarifying Cleansing Balm (a slight menthol odor had me freaked out that I accidentally rubbed Vick’s all over my face and eyes, but it emulsified without blinding me; it reminds me of the Pharmacy Cleansing Balm); Shades by Shan Eyeshadow Duo in “Whip & Shortcake Honey”; a Shaina B Miami Blush Brush; and Soroci Morning Waterdrop Cream (a nice, light moisturizer).

January 2021 Ipsy Bag – Dream It
Don’t dream it…be it…
I’ve had to keep a close eye on this little ipsy bag – my daughter keeps trying to steal it! Her favorite YouTuber is “Dream”, so she really wants this Dreamy-y makeup bag.
My product choice this month was Byroe Salmon Cream – it’s made of FISH EGGS. Yeah, I don’t care – I’ve been rubbing it all over my face. It’s not any worse snail slime.
Also in this month’s bag: Sugar Cosmetics Matte as Hell Crayon in “Viola” (LOVE this shade); Complex Culture Time Pressed Lip Balm (I lined my lips with the lip crayon and filled in with this balm – the crayon stayed put, but my lips were also moisturized); Laruce Beauty LR22 Kabuki Brush in Denim Blue Collection (this is the tiniest kabuki brush I’ve ever seen); and Kensie Beauty So Pretty Fragrance (I have been wearing it – but the scent is so non-descript that I cannot describe it….it’s just…there.)
Another great bag – thanks, ipsy!

Ghosted
Color Club “Ghosted” was an ipsy add-on from last summer. It was patiently waiting for me…
Color Club polishes are so thick and smooth – for most people, this would be one coat coverage…but you know I always gotta do two. I started with Glisten & Glow Ridge Filling Base Coat and topped with Glisten & Glow Top Coat, except for the pinky…which got a coat of Glisten & Glow Matte Top Coat.
I have no idea why this polish is called “Ghosted” – at first, I thought the name was trying to be spooky, but maybe it’s referring to “ghosting” a dude?

December 2020 Ipsy Bag – Home for the Holidays
Well of course, I’m home for the holidays – we cannot go anywhere!
I cannot stop stroking this month’s fuzzy makeup bag – it’s like a pink sheep!
I am loving getting a Color Club Nail Polish every few months – this month, I got “Get Lost”, a creamy powder blue. Lily already snatched it to use – I hope I get to use it soon.
Also in this month’s bag: Feel Enzymatic Exfoliating Cleanser (I love the almond-y scent); Goldfaden MD Facial Detox Clarify + Clear Mask (I LOVE this mask – it’s got a hint of tingle and it made my skin AMAZING); IBY Beauty Lush Eyeshadow in “Yoga Pants” (A perfect “lazy” eye shadow – a single swipe across the eye and you’re done); and Kensie Life Beat Body Lotion (the only product in this month’s bag that I haven’t sampled yet).
This might be the best bag I’ve received all year. I did not select a product this month, but their picks were perfect for me.

The Morning After
Context Skin Nail Lacquer “The Morning After” was included in my November ipsy bag. It’s an inky blue/black…very sophisticated.
This is two coats of “The Morning After” over Glisten & Glow Ridge Filling Base Coat and under Glisten & Glow Top Coat. The polish was a bit sheer, but came through with almost full coverage in two coats. I was surprised at how long this polish lasted. Usually dark polishes chip fast, but this one really clung to my little fingers.
This blue-black reminds me of Wonder Woman. Not Wonder Woman in the movies or TV show, but Wonder Woman in the comic books. Her hair was always highlighted in blue, which confused me as child.

November 2020 Ipsy Bag – Be Present
November’s product choice hit it OUT OF THE PARK. I chose Anastasia Beverly Hills Matte Lipstick Mini in “Dead Roses” and this is now my signature color! I swore that I would never go back to regular lipsticks after experiencing liquid lipsticks…but this lipstick applied like a dream and stayed put all day – even under a mask! It did get all over the inside of the mask, but that’s kind of unavoidable.
I sprayed on Commodity Gold and it was a very musky vanilla fragrance. It was alright, but I feel like I got a major headache after wearing it. I knew I had received a sample of it a few years ago…and it turns out that I HATED it. Ha.
Also in this month’s “Be Present” bag: Context Skin Nail Lacquer in “The Morning After”; Item Beauty Lid Glaze in “Desert Weekend”; and Lasting Smiles Vanilla Bean Blended Beverage Organic Lip Balm.
This month’s bag was a great selection of products – keep it up, ipsy!

Red No 18
As much as I love Sundays Studio nail polishes, it does drive me a little batty that they give them numbers instead of names. What is the significance of the numbers? I don’t understand!
Sundays “No 18” is a perfect, glossy blood red from September’s ipsy bag. It’s a close dupe for Urban Decay Mrs. Mia Wallace.
This is two coats of “No 18” over Glisten & Glow Ridge Filling Base Coat and under Glisten & Glow Top Coat.

September 2020 Ipsy Bag – Good Vibes
Ooooh…corduroy. This month’s ipsy bag has me feeling some kind of way. At least I don’t have to hear it rubbing together between my thighs.
My product choice this month was a Generation Clay Urban Defense Purifying Pink Clay Mask. I love me some clay masks. I used the mask today and it was very nice. It dried quickly and I could feel it sucking all the gunk out of my pores – highly recommended.
Also in this month’s “Good Vibes” bag: Sundays Nail Polish in “No 18” (visuals coming soon); tarte Big Ego mascara in “Black” (ohhh, I have so much mascara); Georgette Klinger Volcanic Mineral Scrub (this smells HORRIBLE); and Pacifica Beauty Desert Sunset Matte Blush & Bronzer Duo (used this today as well, very flattering).
Good products this month, even though the bag itself reminds me of baby poopoos.

Mercury Rising
Cuccio Colour is a new brand to me – it was an add-on to last month’s ipsy bag. I giggle every time I say it…you know, because coochie. I am a child trapped in a woman’s body.
Cuccio Colour “Mercury Rising” is a dark violet creme. It covered well and was not streaky. It also lasted without chips.
This is two coats of “Mercury Rising” over Glisten & Glow Ridge Filling Base Coat. It’s shiny alone, but I topped all but my pinky with Glisten & Glow Top Coat. My pinky got the matte treatment with Glisten & Glow Matte Top Coat.
Is this polish misnamed? Isn’t Mercury known as “the red planet”? Just a thought…
