Cheshire Cat Grin
My first try from October’s “Optical Illusions” – Lemming Lacquer “Cheshire Cat Grin”. This polish is inspired by the optical illusions of the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland. I loved it so much that I brought it with me to my last pedicure.
This is only the second polish I’ve tried from Lemming Lacquer, but I am really liking their formulas. They go on smooth and they self-level very nicely. I didn’t even need Glitter Grabber!
This is two coats of “Cheshire Cat Grin” over Cuticula Mic Drop Base Coat in “Tropical Oasis” and under Cuticula Limitless Top Coat in “Froot Loop“.

Polish Pickup October 2025 – Optical Illusions
Just a small haul from October’s Polish Pickup. The theme is “Optical Illusions”, which means a lot of holos and magnetic polishes. All the magnetic polishes are starting to look the same to me. Do I have magnetic polish fatigue?
Cuticula “Psychedelic Glow” ($13.50) is inspired by a flower that looks like it’s moving when you look at the center of it…hmmm, I may know a little bit about that.
Lemming Lacquer “Cheshire Cat Grin” ($14) is inspired by the optical illusions of the Cheshire Cat. I absolutely LOVE the colors in this one.
Zombie Claw “All is Vanity” ($13.75) is – I think – inspired by one of the most famous optical illusion paintings, ‘All is Vanity’ by Charles Allan Gilbert. You’ll recognize it as soon as you click…

Dead to the World
My first Lemming Lacquer! I chose Lemming Lacquer “Dead to the World” from August 2024’s “Book Covers” Polish Pickup. It’s inspired by one of the best (IMHO) books in Charlaine Harris’s Southern Vampire Mysteries Series, AKA the True Blood books. It’s the one where Sookie is dealing with the nekkid, memory-wiped Eric the Vampire.
“Dead to the World” is a deep blue/black jelly based polish, filled with shifting shimmer. It is somewhat similar to Zoya “Lilith”, which only shifts to pink.
This is two coats of “Dead to the World” over Cuticula Mic Drop Base Coat in “Melt Down” and under Cuticula Limitless Top Coat in “Champagne Toast“.

Polish Pickup August 2024 – Book Covers
After overdoing it with July’s Rewind, I was conservative and only selected 3 polishes from August’s Polish Pickup. The theme was “Book Covers” which is a cool twist on doing a literary theme.
Cuticula Mic Drop Base Coat in “Tropical Oasis” ($10) doesn’t seem to be inspired by…anything? I need to start jotting descriptions down when I buy these things.
Lemming Lacquer “Dead to the World” ($13.25) is inspired by the creator’s favorite book in the Southern Vampire Mysteries Series (True Blood for non-readers), ‘Dead to the World’, of course.
Whatcha “The Battle of the Labyrinth” ($13.50) is full of ocean-inspired flakies. It’s inspired by Percy Jackson, my son’s favorite series of books as a kid. I haven’t yet read the books…waiting for my husband to finish the first one, so I can start!
Not a huge order, just a few really cool polishes.
