Thanksgiving Skittles
Today, I am thankful for several hundred bottles of Julep nail polish, which allowed me to pick the perfect shades for a Thanksgiving Skittles Mani. (A Skittles Mani is simply a different shade on each nail, so that it appears that you are holding a handful of Skittles.)
I started with Glisten & Glow Ridge Filling Base Coat and then two coats of each, starting with my thumb: Julep “Maryam”, Julep “Mercedes”; Julep “Zoe”, Julep “Tatiana”, and Julep “Dahlia”. I finished with Glisten & Glow Top Coat…don’t you love it? (BTW, Glisten & Glow is having a 35% off Black Friday Sale – I’ve already placed an order.)
I initially was going for Fall Cremes, but I came across “Dahlia” and “Tatiana” and HAD to use them. I did set aside some other possible Skittles combos, so keep an eye out!

$2.95 Hand Soap, now with Coupon Stacking!
This past Saturday was $2.95 Hand Soap day!
I bought my 20 bottle limit…and was pleased to find that this year, they allowed coupon stacking! I was able to use my 20% off coupon, which brought the bottle price down to $2.21/$2.22 each. I was also able to get a free body product, so I chose a Shower Gel in “Strawberry Snowflakes”. I really wanted more “Strawberry Poundcake”, but they did not have any. Maybe I’ll get lucky at the After-Christmas Semi-Annual Sale.
According to the receipt, I spent $47.46 and saved $124.25.

Sour Melon Crush
“Sour Melon Crush” would make a disgusting candy…but it makes a delicious nail polish.
Yup, this is Sinful Colors “Sour Melon Crush”, from last year’s Confection Crush Collection. It’s another one of those gumdrop textured polishes.
I did two coats of “Sour Melon Crush” over Glisten & Glow Ridge Filling Base Coat. No top coat.

Cloud 9
I could’ve SWORN that I’ve worn Sinful Colors “Cloud 9” before…but a thorough searching on the site tells me that I have not posted about it since purchasing for Lily in 2016. The bottle is only 2/3 full, so SOMEONE has been wearing it…
This is two coats of “Cloud 9” over Glisten & Glow Ridge Filling Top Coat and under Glisten & Glow Top Coat.
Such a great Autumn/Turkey Day color!

October 2022 Ipsy Bag – ???
I wonder what this month’s official theme is? There was no insert in the October bag! I’d received this bag before my trip to New York, but I hadn’t opened it before I left town…oops!
My product choice this month was Fenty Skin Fat Water Pore-Refining Toner Serum with Niacinamide. I use a lot of witch hazel as a toner and I assumed that this was more of a toner…oops, it’s more of a serum! I tried to moisten a cotton round and it just soaked in, with none left for my skin. I applied with my fingers and it was much better. Why doesn’t it come with a dropper or any more obvious way to apply?
I really liked the First Aid Beauty FAB Pharma Calamine Pore Purging Mask. I went on really smoothly and shrank my pores down to Ant-Man size. The only bummer was that there was only one use in the tube.
Also included in this month’s spooky bag: Dito Magic Feather Intense Volume Mascara (at first glance, I thought this was tarte Mascara – the packaging is very similar); Firma Beauty 405 Precision Angled Blending Brush Pro; and Jazmine Beauty Lip Lock Lipstick in “Stay Cozy” – I haven’t tried any of these products yet.
I subscribe to the basic ipsy bag for $13/month and Glam Bag X for an extra $43/quarterly. If you’d like to try Ipsy – click here. I’ll earn 250 points if you sign up through my referral link.

Mantis Nails
This is the last set of Halloween Nails…I promise!
I did these nails to match my Halloween costume – I was a scary Praying Mantis!
I started with Glisten & Glow Ridge Filling Base Coat and two coats of Sinful Colors “Bite”. There’s a slight texture, which is why I picked it. I topped it with Zoya Leopard Spot Topper, and then Glisten & Glow Top Coat to make it shiny.
I really liked these nails.

DNKN Nails
I didn’t pack any nail stuff when I went to New York…I thought my Color Street would last…but after about nine days, I couldn’t take it anymore. I had to dig into my sister’s nail stash for a nail fix.
This is two coats of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri “Peppy Le Fuchsia” with L.A. Colors “Fancy Pants” on my accent nail. No base coat, because she didn’t have one handy…but she did have a top coat! For the top coat, I used Nail-Aid Quick Dry Glass Shine Top Coat. I’ve never heard of Nail-Aid, but it was a decent top coat…although not quite as quick to dry as my Glisten & Glow…
I was excited to find that my nails matched my Dunkin Donuts cup…I am OBSESSED with the Peanut Butter Cup Macchiato.

Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice!
I was SO disappointed when I tried to order the Revolution x Beetlejuice collab and found that it was sold out online…and it wasn’t available at Ulta either. Imagine my surprise at finding a beautiful end-cap full of Beetlejuice at a Walmart in Horseheads, New York!
Although the larger “It’s Showtime” Shadow Palette was sold out, I was able to snag the “Strange and Unusual” Shadow palette ($9.98), as well as the “Beetle House” Shadow Palette ($9.98). I’ll admit, it’s hard to wear the “Strange and Unusual” palette without looking like Scott Baio gave me pink-eye. That’s okay – I look good with pink-eye.
I skipped the rest of the rather large collection – cake liners, fake lashes, lipsticks, brushes, and blenders. It was all super cute packaging, but I’d be unlikely to use it.
Oh, and my FAVORITE purchase was the “GHOSTIN” lip stain in “Bitten” ($2.98). It’s similar to Benefit Benetint, but with a doe foot applicator. I LOVE THIS LIP STAIN. I am wearing it right now…
I was just at my local Walmart today, and I found lots of the Beetlejuice Collection – mostly lashes and liners – in the 75% off Halloween Clearance. Go check it out – you might get lucky!

September 2022 Sucreabeille Mini Subscription Bag
This will be my last Sucreabeille Subscription Bag for a while – between work and grad school and kids and Bandtober, I am short on time to enjoy all these scents!
September’s unreleased scent is “Spoopy”, which gives me a “butter melting on hot gingerbread” vibe. I want to eat it, not wear it.
I’ve already got a big rollerball of “Blood Drunk”, a musky pomegranate.
“Why Use Many Word When Few Do Trick?” is from the Dunder Mifflin Collection. It smells like Big Red gum to me! So cinnamon-y.
“Ruthless B-Word” is a lot to handle – the lychee scent smacks you in in the face. Hard. There’s a bit of orange, but nope – it’s that weird lychee candy in a bowl at the donut shop.
“Xanadu” has strong notes of pine – maybe that is why it smells like Pine-Sol on my skin? I assume it’s the lavender that smells like Ant Bait. Not a fan.
“Philosopher’s Stone” is a Harry Potter themed scent – it smells like a dirty coffee cup…and rain. To be honest, I don’t hate it.
I don’t love these scents as much as previous month’s scents – it’s almost like I have fragrance overload. I am ready for a break.
The Mini Subscription used to be $15 + shipping, but recently increased to $28 + shipping. I felt a momentary pang to lose the original pricing, but I’ll cope. Click here for a $5 off coupon (for you AND me)!

Do Your Fang
I did all these cool Halloween Nails…but I was too busy in New York to post much…so you will be getting spooky nails WELL into November – deal with it.
I splurged on Color Street Nail Decals this Halloween – they had lots of pretty designs this year!
This is Color Street “Do Your Fang”, which is a combination of black to red sparkle ombre and bats!
And yes, I did buy some of those “Adult Happy Meals” from McDonald’s…it was not my proudest post-Colonoscopy meal, but it’s where my husband took me.
