February 2019 Allure Beauty Box – Stronger Together
So there’s my answer – we’re getting a vinyl clutch from Allure every month, but in a different color. January was red and February is black. Hmmm…I am gonna guess BLUE for March.
I am not particularly wowed by any of the products that month, but that doesn’t mean they’re bad – it just means that I haven’t heard of them yet. There’s something to be said about fresh, new products.
Included in the February box: Wander Beauty Mile High Club Mascara (plus a code for 20% off at wanderbeauty.com,– in fact, there are discount codes for ALL of the product websites, except Mally Beauty); ModelCo Metallic Eyeshadow Trio in “Mykonos” (Isn’t that the island where Lindsay Lohan runs a beach club?); Moda Metallics Triad Eye Brush; Mamonde Petal Spa Oil to Foam Cleanser; Mamonde Flower Lab Essence Mask; The Browgal The Instatint Tinted Brow Gel (I don’t have enough brow for this); and Mally High Shine Liquid Lipstick in “Orchid”.
I feel like this is a pretty high value box – I’m excited to try the Mamonde products especially.

January 2019 Allure Beauty Box – Thrill of the New
I’m not even gonna apologize for running late on reviews – I been busy as shit.
2019 brings big changes to the Allure Beauty Box – gone is the shiny red box, instead replaced by a generic cardboard mailer. That’s okay though – because now the monthly goodies are coming inside a sleek plastic pouch. No word yet on whether we’ll be getting the same red pouch every month, or they’ll mix up the design – stay tuned.
In this month’s all new pouch: Mally Shadow Stick Extra in “Burnished Bronze”; OUAI Scalp & Body Scrub (Hmmmm, not sure if I’m ready to be picking sugar out of my hair for a month – also includes a 15% off code for theouai.com); Sunday Riley C.E.O. Glow Face Oil; Sunday Riley A+ High-Dose Retinoid Serum (How did they know I’m retinol aged now?); Doucce Relentless Matte Lip Crayon in “Winterberry” (with a code for 25% off at doucce.com); and a pack of 2 Beautyblender Micro Mini Sponges.
And as a bonus this month, each subscriber received a nail polish from NCLA. I got and orangey red called “Call My Agent”.

Beauty in Bloom
The last few Limited Edition boxes from Birchbox haven’t been that exciting…but I was enticed by the “Beauty in Bloom” box. I can’t pass up flowery products.
Inside this flower-filled box: Darphin Intral Toner; Davines Oi/Oil Absolute Beautifying Potion; Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist; Laura Geller Beauty Baked True Color Blush in “Maui” (so red – I can’t wait to try it); Lollia Relax Shea Butter Handcreme (Lavender and Vanilla, but I can’t smell anything through this blasted cold); Mally Eye-Amplifying Shadow Liner in “Stone” (taupe-ish); NEST Fragrances Grapefruit Classic Candle (even my husband said this smells “yummy”); NEST Fragrances Indigo Eau de Parfum (I’d been curious about NEST for a while – this one is very exotic smelling, almost like nag champa…but without the weedy undertones); Smith & Cult The Shining Lip Lacquer in “Hi-Speed Sonnet” (so glittery); stila Huge Extreme Lash Mascara; and an Umbra Prisma Tray (I’m not big on gold, but I really like the geometric styling of this jewelry tray). A GREAT deal!
Although the box was $64, I found a 20% code and used $10 in points, so the total was just $41.20.

October Birchbox – Fanfare
It’s here! It’s here! I’ve been seeing people’s boxes on Instagram for a week!
October’s theme is “Fanfare” – celebrating all the new shows and stuff coming out. Technically, I was watching The Walking Dead a few nights ago and I was actually watching Nail’d while I was doing my nails tonight – shhhhhhh…
Birchbox offered a product choice again this month – I chose Mally High Shine Liquid Lipstick in “Petal to the Metal” – full size! I also got dr. brandt pores no more vacuum cleaner (Excited – I hate my pores); Essentiel Elements “Wake Up Rosemary Shower Gel” (STRONG SMELLING); a sample vial of Harvey Prince “Petaly Noir” (Maybe all of Harvey Prince’s fragrances smell like old lady – This one actual reminds me of Bath & Body Works “Black Amethyst”); and ModelCo POWERLASH High Impact Black Mascara.
