Target Beauty Boxes – August + September 2019
I don’t know how I managed to miss ordering the August Target Beauty Box – but I did. If an email was sent out, it got lost in my inbox and I didn’t see any social media posts either…BUT, it was still available to order when I went looking for the September box (which I also did not see an email on). I went ahead and ordered both boxes.
August’s box is “Hot for Fall” and includes products to help transition from summer to fall: MyBite Vitamins in Dark Chocolately Peanut; Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Moist Deep Conditioning Treatment (I’ll have to hide from my son – this is his brand); hello Activated Charcoal + Hemp \Flouride Free Toothpaste (sounds GROSS, but I’ll try it); Oral-B Interdental Picks (Ooooh yeah!); Herbal Essences Birch Bark Extract Sulfate-Free Shampoo/Conditioner (I tried it out and it was fine – not nearly as exciting as the old commercials want you to believe – no hair-washing orgasms for me); and Dove Men + Care Fresh and Clean 2 in 1. This was a stuffed box!
The September “Glow Into Fall” box seemed kind of skimpy: Schick Intuition Sensitive Care Razor (not a fan of the Intuition line, so gave it to my daughter); Trim Salon Emery Board (I can always use one of these); TRESemme Botanique Color Vibrance and Shine Shampoo/Conditioner (I liked this one slightly more than the Herbal Essences one, but it’s hard to get use to the low foaming formulas); Miss Spa Hydrate Facial Sheet Mask; and Dove Dry Serum Powder Touch. I was intrigued by a serum antiperspirant and tried it immediately. It was okay, I guess – but I did NOT like getting it all over my hands. I feel like it left a residue on my fingers, even after washing my hands. I did like the smell, but I don’t know that I’ll be buying this one.
Each box was $7, free shipping, plus 5% off with my Target Red Card. Understandably, the coupon in the August box had already expired, but I am annoyed that the September coupon doesn’t seem to be usable either. My app won’t recognize it when I try to scan it, and the code to use online doesn’t work either. Bummer.
Target Beauty Boxes – June 2019
It’s no surprise that Target released His & Hers boxes this month – gotta get in on that Father’s Day action!
His box is themed “Dopp Kit Essentials” – I had to google “Dopp Kit” because I’d never heard that term before – it’s a toiletry bag for dudes. Inside this “Dopp Kit”: Crest Gum Detoxify Deep Clean Toothpaste; Bulldog Men’s Skincare Moisturizer, Face Wash & Shave Gel; Dove Men+Care Clean Comfort Antiperspirant; Gillette SkinGuard Men’s Razor; Old Spice Fresher Collection Deep Sea Invisible Solid Deodorant; and Head & Shoulders Old Spice Pure Sport Men’s Anti-Dandruff 2-in-1 Shampoo & Conditioner. Believe it or not, my husband kept only the toothpaste and Head & Shoulders – and gave the rest to my son. I guess he is my new recipient!
Her box, um, I mean MY box is themed “Jet-Set-Go” and contains: TRESemme Between Washes Volumizing Dry Shampoo (I need my work wife to come to my house and teach me how to use this shit); Pixi T-Zone Peel Off Mask (interesting); CND Vinylux Mini Duo Pack in “Romantique” (I am very skeptical of these at-home gel polishes, but I’ll give it a spin); Pantene Pro-V Intense Rescue Shots Ampoules Hair Treatment; and Herbal Essences Bio Renew Revitalize Cucumber & Green Tea Dry Shampoo (why the fuck did they put two dry shampoos in one fucking box???)
I feel like the His Box is a good value for $7, but I am annoyed that I paid $7 for the Hers Box. As usual, free shipping, 5% off with my Red Card and each one came with a $3 off $15 coupon. Again, the His Box has a scannable app coupon, but the Hers Box has an old fashioned coupon. Odd.
Target Beauty Box – March 2019
I almost didn’t purchase this month’s box, because of the Love Beauty & Planet Smooth and Serene Argan Oil & Lavender Shampoo and Conditioner – lavender sometimes gives me a headache, but then I remembered that I received them in a Birchbox last year and they were fine.
Also in this month’s “March Into Spring” box: Bliss Rose Gold Rescue Gentle Foaming Cleanser (rose gold everything!); TRESemme Botanique Nourish & Replenish Mask (for hair); Shea Moisture Matcha Green Tea & Probiotics Soothing Toner & Hydrating Mist (I never know what do do with these); and Shea Moisture Silicone Free Miracle Styler Leave-In Treatment (it smells super good). These products are a bit out of my comfort zone, but I am here for it.
This $7 box is heavy, but with a smaller number of products. As usual, free shipping, 5% off with my Red Card and it came with a $3 off $15 coupon. I did not manage to use my coupon last month, but I have high hopes for this month’s coupon.

It’s been a few months since there have been two Target Beauty Boxes – any even longer since both were for ME.
The “Hello Beauty Reboot!” box is full of products to reboot your beauty routine for fall – and more rose products! I am truly and thoroughly loving this rose renaissance! I cannot wait to try the Weleda Wild Rose Body Wash and Garnier SkinActive Facial Mist Spray with Rose Water (even though I rarely use the Pacifica Rose Facial Spray I already have – what do they even do?) Also in this box: Olay Facial Cleansing Infusion with Crushed Ginger & Citrus; Nivea Smooth Daily Moisture Body Lotion; Schmidt’s Naturals Charcoal Magnesium Deodorant (hmmm, the last one gave me a rash); OGX Coconut Miracle Dry Shampoo; and L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Primer Base. A packed fucking box!
The “Hello Quench & Glow!” box is all masks, which I need, since Sally and I did ALL the masks in Vegas. In the box: Lumene LAHDE Hydration Recovery Aerating Gel Mask; TRESemme Keratin Smooth Deep Smoothing Mask Sachet; Acure Brilliantly Brightening Biocellulose Gel Mask (gross, there’s kale in it); Miss Spa Energize Facial Sheet Mask; and Masque Bar Rose Gold Peel Off Mask (yassss rose gold!).
Both boxes had the usual $3 off a Beauty/Personal Care purchase of $15 or more. Each box was $7, with free shipping and 5% off with my Red Card.

Hello Rejuvenation!
I will happily take all the rejuvenation I can get – this summer is so hot that a couple of hobbits threw aa ring in my backyard.
I cannot wait to try the Shea Moisture African Black Soap & Charcoal Body Scrub – all the sunscreen has left my back an oozy mess! I don’t know which is worse – sunburn or clogged pores?

Allure Beauty Box – September 2014
The Allure Beauty Box is kind of a big deal. It’s not a subscription box, but a gigantor box of full size beauty products that’s sold once a quarter. It’s $44.95 (plus tax and $10 shipping) for over $250 of stuff. This is the first time I’ve tried to get one and I got lucky and managed to snag one…even though they sold out in less than an hour!
Get a load of what was in this box: Aloxxi Dry Shampoo; Arm & Hammer Spinbrush Truly Radiant Battery Powered Toothbrush (I cracked this baby open this morning – it was AWESOME! It was like I just left the dentist. My husband and son use electric toothbrushes, but I had been resisting. I am now a firm believer.); Arm & Hammer Truly Radiant Toothpaste; BAN Total Refresh Cooling Body Cloths (weird); Burt’s Bees 100% Natural Lip Crayon in “Hawaiian Smolder” (So lip crayons are the “in” thing right now? Birchbox Limited Edition CEW Boxes
Every time Birchbox comes out with a Limited Edition Box…just take my money. TAKE MY MONEY, Birchbox! With the Modern Mermaid box, I acted like I might not buy it and waited a few weeks. I didn’t even bother waiting to buy the Limited Edition 2014 CEW boxes – I bought them the first day they were available – $28 for both boxes is quite a deal. All of the products were finalists in this year’s CEW Insider’s Choice Beauty Awards.
The Mass Appeal Box contains stuff you can find at any drugstore or grocery store: a travel size Dove Go Fresh Restore Body Wash; a full size Simple Protecting Light Moisturizer with SPF 15; L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Butterfly Mascara (I got one of these a while back in my Target Beauty Box, but I just opened it last week – I love it…it’s better than Urban Decay Perversion!); Vaseline Lip Therapy Rosy Lips (I hate sticking my finger in lip balm); Burt’s Bees 100% Natural Lip Gloss in “Spring Splendor”; and a full size TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Keratin Infusing Serum. What a great box!
The Prestige Headliners Box contains higher end brands: Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Crème; Josie Maran Cosmetics 100% Pure Argan Oil Light (more goat poop oil!) ; 100% Pure Creamy Nail Polish in “Seafoam”; philosophy miracle worker overnight; COOLA Environmental Repair Plus Radical Recovery After-Sun Lotion (I got this in my May Birchbox – love this stuff after a hot day at the pool); and two lifestyle extras – a pocket mirror and pedicure toe separators.
In LOATHE paying shipping, so I added something I needed to my order – another Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in “Soft Brown”. I also got 2 mystery samples that I had already gotten in boxes – a Cynthia Rowley Beauty silver eyeliner (April) and suki “Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser” (June).
Two great boxes…you gotta get these!
