April 2019 Ipsy Bag – Bloom
Oh ipsy, you give me months and months of great bags…and then you confuse me with a bag of bizarro products.
The only mainstream brand included is tarte – it’s a sample of tarte base tape hydrating primer. It must be a new product? I’ll give it a spin I guess.

March 2019 Ipsy Bag – SHEro
When I first started with ipsy, I felt like the brands were amazing, but as the years went on, there were more and more weird brands and less prestige brands…but now ipsy is getting better again! The last few months have had better brands and better products overall – good job, ipsy!
This month’s “SHEro” bag is rose gold (my current fave metallic), embossed with “and off she went to change the world” – I love it. So, I have at least half a dozen samples of Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream and I STILL have not tried it. I’ll try it, I promise.
Also in this month’s bag: Tarte Maneater Voluptuous Mascara (will probably get sold on Poshmark); Ciate London Mini Lip Lustre in “Wildfire” (this color is fire); PUR Afterglow Mini Highlighting Skin Perfecting Powder; and Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm (I am not all in on cleansing balms, BUT I found that they are GREAT for melting longwearing liquid lipstick).

February 2019 Ipsy Bag – Swoon So Hard
Oh shit, Ipsy has finally joined the 21st century and started including the products included, with descriptions, on the insert in each month’s glam bag. Hallelujah!
Inside this month’s “Swoon So Hard” bag: Elemis Superfood Facial Wash; Chella Eyeliner Pen in “Purple” (I wonder how this would work on eyebrows?); Glamglow Glowstarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in “Nude Glow” (will be using this definitely); Meech N Mia Pressed Eyeshadow in “Caramel”; and F.A.R.A.H. Brushes Powder Brush 50F.
Speaking of swooning so hard, this lipstick bag is the tits – I need to switch it into my purse. The contents are just so-so this month, but the bag makes it worth the $10.

Williamsburg
When I get a new polish in my hands – I just cannot wait to use it!
This is Color Club “Williamsburg” from January’s ipsy bag. It’s a dark, dark, inky blue, with a magnificent shimmer. The pictures do not do it justice. In passing, it looks black – which is a shame. Have you ever had a blue ink pen burst in your pocket? THAT’S what this polish looks like.
This is two coats of “Williamsburg” over Glisten & Glow Base Coat and under Glisten & Glow Top Coat.
I don’t have much experience with Color Club nail polishes – this is only my second one, I think. I’ve been fairly impressed with them however, and may look into more.
We went to Colonial Williamsburg a few summers ago, and I don’t remember seeing anything this color. What an odd name for this amazing color.
January 2019 Ipsy Bag – Recharge
I am getting total summer vibes from this month’s ipsy bag. I mean, look at this summery bag – baby blue chambray stripes with a hint of coral lining…ugh, why are my feet so cold? Maybe because it’s January.
Inside this month’s “Recharge” bag: Fluide Lip Gloss in “Elsewhere” (brand is new to me…and um, will this blue gloss make me look like Elsa?); Color Club Nail Polish in “Williamsburg” (this blackened blue glitter is HAWT); Illumasqua Colouring Pencil Eye Crayon in “Honour”; Pure Brazilian Leave-in Conditioner; and H2O+ Beauty Oasis Hydrating Treatment.
This is a rather random assortment of products. The brands are kind of off as well. Is ipsy the next subscription box to get the boot???
I haven’t gotten my Allure or Sephora boxes yet this month…I wonder what that means?

December 2018 Ipsy Bag – Be Merry. Be Bright. Be Bold. Be You.
Sweet lord, I am behind. The holidays are upon us and I am barely hanging on. I promise, you’ll get all my beauty updates…eventually.
This month’s Ipsy bag is luxe as fuck. It’s a black pleather bag, with gold sequins on the front, with a pink satin lining. You could use it as a clutch on a night out!
Inside this luxe bag: It Cosmetics Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara in “Black” (I really need to trash all my open mascara and start over – I think I will start with this one); Tinct Cosmetics Nail Polish in “Aarhus” (weird name for a cosmetics company and an even weirder name for a plain purple polish); Delectable by Cake Beauty “Iced Gingerbread” Hand Cream (seasonal); F.A.R.A.H. Brushes Tapered Blending Brush 35E; and TLW Frizz Fighter. As a special bonus, I received an SLMISSGLAM L36 Tapered Highlight Brush. I think it is safe to say that tapered brushes are “in” right now.
A GREAT bag itself, with some…interesting…products.

November 2018 Ipsy Bag – Happy Friendsgiving

Oh hey, it’s glam bag time!
So, I’m not positive from the insert what this month’s theme is…and their website doesn’t make it any clearer, so I’m going with “Happy Friendsgiving”. The bag is pretty cute – you cannot tell from the picture, but the inside is lined with hot pink nylon.
This month’s bag is an odd assortment of products: Doucce Punk Volumizer Mascara; Pistache Skincare Whipped Pistachio Body Butter (it smells like pistachio pudding – I love it – I left it on the coffee table to use, but my kids better keep their paws off it); Pretty Woman Nail Polish in “Wine with Ice, Garcon” (I don’t even drink wine); Ciate London Mini Translucent Setting Powder in “Hideout”; and theBalm Cosmetics Nude Beach Eyeshadow in “Brave”.
Like I said, the products don’t seem to go together this month, but they each seem great individually.

October 2018 Ipsy Bag – Ipsy After Dark

This bag! I must work it into the rotation immediately! Blood red pleather, embossed with a stunning masquerade mask – I love it!
Other than the bag, the first thing that I noticed about this month’s products was the MAC Little Lipglass in “Love Child”. Even though I have not been loving glosses lately, I am digging the shimmery plum color. My lips look the best in plums and fuchsias.
Also in this month’s bag: Naked Cosmetics Loose Pigment in “Heavy Metal HE-03” (I’ve gotten a bucket of pigments and shadows from Naked Cosmetics and never played with them – I need to either try them or trash them); Murad Essential-C Cleanser; Eyeko Skinny Travel Size Liquid Eyeliner in “Carbon Black”; and a Beau Gachis Eyebrow Brush (oooooh, another one – when it rains, it pours).
A so-so set of products this month, but the dynamite bag makes up for it.

September 2018 Ipsy Bag – Who is Going to Stop Me.

I immediately squealed when I saw this month’s ipsy bag (I had let Lily open the mailer and take it out for me). It matches the Betsey Johnson black kitty wallet that I just ordered from Poshmark, just the day before. Don’t even get me started on my new Poshmark obsession – I’ve made $190 over the last 2 weeks. And then I squealed AGAIN when I saw the Luxie Beauty Harley Quinn Flat Definer 110 Makeup Brush – it’s gorgeous! I have loved every single Luxie brush that I’ve gotten via ipsy – great quality!
Also in this month’s box: Luna by Luna Cosmetics Translucent Powder (NOT to be confused with Manny MUA’s Lunar Beauty, which is SO canceled; looks like it has a hint of shimmer?); Hempz Moisture Herbal Whipped Body Cream (I smelled it, but I cannot place the scent – not marijuana, not mint, maybe a hint of lysol – but not in a bad way); Lord & Berry Line/Shade Pencil in “Flash Purple”; and Eva NYC Satin Dream Leave-in Cream.

August 2018 Ipsy Bag – Selfie with No Filter
For the record, ALL of my selfies are with no filter.
Even so, I appreciate any and all products that help me look my best with no filter, so thank you very much ipsy! Inside this month’s bright orange linen pouch: OUAI Volume Spray (I think I get this product in every single subscription box, every single month); SLSMISSGLAM Rose Gold Blusher Brush (rose gold, my favorite right now); MAC False Lashes Mascara in “Extreme Black” (I liked the last MAC mascara I received in an ipsy bag – I used it all up); Answer From Black Volume Gold Radiance Cream (what a weird brand name – Answer From); and Ofra Cosmetics Eye shadow in “Blue Jean” (another one for my Z Palette).
Not an exciting bag, but not a bad one either.
